Description: The Pendleton Round-Up is a major annual rodeo held in Pendleton, a city in eastern Oregon. The Round-Up was incorporated July 29, 1910, as the "Northwestern Frontier Exhibition Association” and has been held during the second full week of September each year since. The rodeo was primarily a creation of local ranchers led by Herman Rosenberg. Steer Wrestling is one of the ten main events in cowboys and girls compete in…. The card was published by “Boughton Robbins Co. Spokane Washington”. There were three different versions of Robbins publishing companies. The logo, middle back, indicates the “J.L Robbins Co.” which published regional half tone postcards from 1920 to 1936 was involved in this card. I found many other cards published by “Boughton Robbins” and they are all of the North West United States. The card is in good condition with a little wear on the corners and edges. The image is clean and clear. It appears to me that it is a form of a collage with the photo of the cowboy and steer superimposed on a artist’s rendering of the scene and crowd. Just an observation in any event, it is a nice card of a historic event.Free World-Wide Shipping and it will be mailed promptly upon receipt of payment,..
