The piece is hallmarked on the bottom. Richard Hudson was located on 5th Ave in NYC. It has a shallow graceful mahogany dish, atop a Sterling cone shaped pedestal. A total height of 3 1/2" x 8 1/4" diameter. There is very minor wear. The surface has been treated with Restore and Feed and Wax to give it a true depth of color and reveal its superb wood grain. An asset to any décor. Rare to see this piece in this excellent condition. On the internet you see mostly salad bowls which have limited cross application. . With this piece you can put small candy or even better leave your professional office or gallery business cards, after dinner mints, etc. Add this statement piece to your mid- century or other décor.
