Sterling MJH Modernist Finland Matti J Hyvarinen Designer Pendant Necklace 1985

Description: For sale is this beautiful vintage modernist sterling silver necklace from designer Matti J Hyvarinen (MJH) made in Finland. The pendant has a textured finish. The length of the chain is approximately 21 inches to the drop, and the pendant is about 2 3/8" by 1 3/4" wide. Total weight is 17.7 grams. It has been tested and verified to be sterling silver (925). Identification marks are in two places on the pendant (one on a flat part of the back, and the other on a vertical edge of the back). Difficult to read but I believe the first set is for the Finland national mark, JN (not sure of the meaning, perhaps town?), the makers initials MJH, 925 for sterling silver purity, H8? for year of manufacture 1985(?) and the second set is very difficult to read but appears to be a signature for Matti J Hyvarine, the maker’s initials MJH, Finland national mark, and 925 for sterling silver purity. Very good vintage condition with imperfection of several scratches on pendant (see video and pictures). Some age related tarnish on the backside.
