Platero This is a darling, smaller heart-shaped pendant with two samples of spiny oyster shell on a sterling silver base. The heart-shaped cabochon is set in a smooth bezel which is surrounded by twisted silver wire. The pendant has scalloped edges that have hand-stamped accents. Two small gemstones finish off the decor: garnet and blue topaz. The pendant is 1 1/8" at its widest and 1 3/8" tall. The bail has an approximate 1/8" opening. It weighs 8.4 g.; The artist's signature is "Jerry N. Platero" of the Navajo Nation.
