Description: Stickley's American Mission furniture holds an important place in the history of furniture design. This Stickley Mission 1996 Reissue Oak Settle Sofa, from the original 1904 Gustaf Stickley design, is a true classic. It features his original pinned mortise-and-tenon construction in quartersawn white oak. The quadralinear post technique was added by Leopold Stickley a decade later to show the wood's beautiful ray flake on all four sides. Post and rails are joined with through tenons pinned with oak dowels. It is in the Stickley #35 Fayette medium oak finish and is in excellent condition with no issues. With a solid quarter sawn oak frame, the settle measures 77-1/2"long, 34" wide, and 29-1/2" high. The cushions and fabric are original and are ready to be replaced, giving you the opportunity to choose your own style and covering. A great, iconic mission piece, ready to compliment your Stickley and mission furniture.
