Description: Luthier Louis Patenotte was based in Mirecourt, “the center of French luthiery for over a century.” His guitars were known for their floral inlays—this one is in fairly good shape and full-bodied tone. Solid spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, inlay and bindings original, maple neck, replacement tuners. The guitar is seventy years old, with some defects: Rosette warped on both sides of fingerboard (see photos). Action: 1/16” at first fret, 1/8” at seventh fret, 5/16” at twelfth fret. Tuned to Open D (DADF#AD). Ships UPS to Continental USA only.
