Description: Vintage Stromberg Carlson AU-33 tube PA head professionally restored and modified for guitar use by Al Forbes at Alpha Sound. Wonderful sounding head with tons of vibe and mojo. Rated at 35 watts it breaks up very nicely and the onboard EQ provides varying tone options. The full tube compliment is included with a pair of RCA 6L6 black plates. Has three separate channels with three 1/4" inputs and an 8-ohm 1/4" speaker output. Also has a screw terminal output if needed. The power cord has been grounded and lengthened for safety. Considering its age it's in very nice cosmetic condition with some stains and wear on the case. It can also be used as a microphone preamp but excels as a guitar head. There are many YouTube videos that demonstrate this amp's versatility. Clean, overdriven, total crunch and all areas in-between it's just a wonderful sounding amp. I replaced the original input knobs with some black Bakelite's. I will include the original knobs. Other than the recapping and the 1/4" mods this head is 100% original.
