It is noted at front of book that this story is a composite, prison life story, based on facts. Book measures 5.25x8.25; covers are heavy paper, unevenly tanned, small areas of storage/handling stain both covers. Front cover and first 2 pages slightly flare; front cover tips have short creases and light bumping at points. There is no title on spine; book slants forward a bit. Opening crease on front cover, back cover has slight ridge near spine from slant. Leaf edges are somewhat yellowed, areas of shelf/handling soil on all 3 leaf edges, covers good at spine. There are 192 pages, 17 unnamed chapters; pages show a bit of soil on page 20 which has dime-size irregular, light brown spot in front margin, another page has small, very light grey spot, pages 1-4 have tiny brown spot at front margin. This book is cracked between pages 74-75, should be taped as pages at that spot are a bit weak near bottom edge; pages are still quite light color. First several front pages have tiny bump crease at bottom tips.
