Description: 100+ guitar sets in stock, please check my other listings Very tightly fiddleback curled, eastern black walnut guitar set, Backs irregularly shaped, 8.2 wide, at lower bout, 22+ long, sanded to approximately 0.145 thick Sides, 32 long ,5.2 to 4.4 wide sanded to approximately .0.125 thick. Beautiful fiddle back with incredible warm colors, The fiddleback here is very tight, deep, beautiful. I am sure I have not found had any eastern black walnut pieces with fiddleback this tight since about 1990, which is long gone, as I cut those pieces into sets years ago. Very beautiful, I suppose there are pieces of koa or mango that have this deep, tight curl. Perhaps the occasional maple, but this is american black walnut, juglans nigra. not claro, not english. Some have said it seems like bastogne, but I don't believe this hybrid is present in the eastern US, although I can see the similarity. The edges have not been jointed, a few saw marks still present. I have left them as large as possible. Very rare in this size
