Description: Presented is an antique 14 karat yellow gold and natural diamond gemstone lapel pin or tie tack. This pin was made in America during the early 1900s. This is a Shriners pin featuring their emblem of a crescent above a star, with a curved scimitar behind. The star portion is securely bezel set with a large sparkling old mine cut diamond. The diamond measures approximately 5 millimeters in diameter. The diamond is at least 50 points or a 1/2 carat in size, probably more like 58 points, and is a fantastic quality stone of VVS to VS1 clarity and G/H color. The crescent portion is set with horn or a claw material perhaps, as you see sometimes on Shriners pieces, while the top of the crescent has a nicely detailed Egyptian sphinx or pharaoh head. The pin has a threaded back which unscrews so it can be worn on a buttonhole. All parts are nitric acid tested and guaranteed to be 14 karat gold purity. This piece is in excellent overall condition. Width: 3/4 of an inch. Weight: 2.7 grams. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
