Description: Calling all Ian Fleming and James Bond collectors!Here for sale is a vintage and original first edition, sixth impression of the Ian Fleming James Bond novel, Casino Royale published by Jonathan Cape in 1960 in excellent condition. The book exterior is in very good condition. The covers are still a strong black colour and square with the red heart still prominent on the front cover. Mark free, but there are creases on the front where the cloth has loosened slightly. Plus some bumps and small areas of shelf wear to the extremities, but these are minor and consummate with ageThe spine is also in great condition with the black colour, red titles and Cape logo still very prominent. Complete, straight and with tight binding. There is some minor shelf wear to the extremities, but all minor. Please do see photos for exact condition. Internally, the book is excellent with only minor issues. Clean, with white and bright pages and no marks or inscriptions. The page binding has split slightly between pages 16 and 17. This is minor and there are no loose papers and does not effect the rest of the book. Plus only slight marking on the first and last page ends. However there is no browning or tanning to the text block - a rare find indeed!Comes with a brand new superb facsimile/reproduction of the first edition/first impression dust jacket published by Jonathan Cape in 1953. Printed on high quality 170gsm paper, it looks perfect on this copy and presents the book superbly. So a unique opportunity to own a first edition, early print Ian Fleming book in superb condition.
