Decal Manufacturer: Superscale Title: Pre-WWII F4F-3 Wildcats VF-41 & VF-72 Section Leaders Ref: 48-457 Scale: 1/48 Decals: The sheet contains decals for two United States Navy (USN) Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat aircraft, serving with VF-41”Red Rippers” aboard USS Ranger and VF-72 aboard USS Wasp. Includes White bureau numbers, Black and White aircraft codes for the fuselage, to be placed over the fuselage bands, and wing surfaces, VF 41 “Red Rippers" unit badges, White bands edged in Black for the fuselage and White chevrons edged in Black for wing surfaces of the VF-41 F4F, True Blue bands edged in White for the fuselage and True Blue chevrons edged in White for wing surfaces of the VF-72 F4F, Black and White stripes to edge the colour cowl bands, U.S. NAVY titles in different sizes and two part "meatball" Star roundels of different sizes. There are sufficient decals to complete both the F4F Wildcat aircraft from the sheet. The two Wildcat’s are finished in Aluminium lacquer overall with Chrome Yellow wing surfaces. The VF-41 F4F has Willow Green vertical and horizontal tail surfaces, with a White cowl ring, fuselage band and wing chevrons, all edged in Black, the latter two supplied as decals on the sheet. The VF-72 F4F has Black vertical and horizontal tail surfaces, with a True Blue nose cowl, fuselage and wing chevrons, all edged in White, the latter two again supplied as decals on the sheet.
