Description: Beautifully figured, true cuban mahogany guitar set, hurricane salvage(rita) from south florida, sweitenia mahogani. Backs are irregularly shaped, 21 along back center, 8.8 wide sanded to about 0.150 thick. . Sides are 32 long, 5 to 4.4 wide, sanded to about 0.120. Pretty nice set, but sides do have that one funny "eye" near the center that could be difficult to bend. Sides are a little lighter in color as I just resawed these today, whereas backs were resawn a year ago and have developed better color Very beautiful exotic figure. Backs and sides are cut from the same log. Hurricane rita knocked this down and it was sawn into a 3" cant in 2008. Dry, flat and stable, ready to build after acclimating to your shop. The dimensions are approximate. The edges have not been jointed are crooked.
