Syd Mead book Studio Image 3 1994 *Signed* & Studio Image 1 1988 First Edition

Description: Syd Mead's "Studio 1" and "Studio 3" (signed) softbound large format illustration books. "Studio 3" is signed and dated by Syd Mead on 11/09/95. The inscription reads, "for John Bevelheimer" and then "25" in a circle which refers to the 25th anniversary of the company. My husband, John Bevelheimer, was Syd Mead's design assistant in his design studio in the 90's. There is an indented stamp on the inside corner of the page that says "from the library of John Bevelheimer". We understand that this de-values the book and it's priced accordingly. "Studio 3", published in 1994, includes concept drawings of the Sulaco spaceship for the army troops to arrive to the Alien planet in the movie, "Aliens". There are also concept drawings from "Journey to the Center of the Earth". "Studio 1", published in 1988, shows concept car work and even a futuristic police car. The condition of both books are really good used condition. There is some yellowing from age and on the inside cover of "Studio 3" there is faint yellow discoloration in a vertical stripe pattern as shown in the photos. The corners of the books are in great shape with very little wear. Sold as a set only. These books have been stored carefully in my smoke-free home. Sold as is. No Returns.
