Description: SYNANON Ballpoint Pen "The People Business" 1970's Oregon Mutual Savings Bank Here is a rare SYNANON manufactured ballpoint penSynanon is considered by most to have been a cult under the control of charismatic leadership that lasted for over 30 years and grew to a multi-million dollar business. This pen came out of one of Synanon's money making projects known as "The People Business" and was produced in 1970's. It was an item customized and sold to corporate entities as an advertising and promotional gimmick. This particular one was for the ill-fated Oregon Mutual Savings Bank which went under during the Savings and Loan Crisis in 1982. Very good vintage condition. Ink is dry but refills are easily obtained. Before you check out let's have just a quick word from Charles E. Dederich, Synanon's founder: "Synanon came into existence because our society is composed of mama's boys and daddy's little girls who have been inundated by attempts to produce nothing but agreeable sensations in them. Character disorders, quite simply, are people who had too strong a dose of "mother love" and were never properly housebroken by fathers.
