Description: You get the exact one shown here: #CC-860 TABULAR QUARTZ CRYSTAL - COOKEITE INCLUSIONS 03-30-2022 rev 06-23 Please see video & all 12 photos (be sure to scroll to see all of them). This is a QUARTZ CRYSTAL that is mounted in a standard 1 1/4" perky box. This is from the collection of a discriminating Middle-Georgia collector with an eye for aesthetics and quality. These choice specimens now bear Dixie Euhedrals labels. This particular specimen was purchased 27 years ago. TABULAR QUARTZ CRYSTAL - COOKEITE INCLUSIONS from WEST MARKHAM STREET, LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS - CIRCA 1995. This was acquired way back in 1995 from the highly esteemed JOHN WHATLEY OF MACON, GEORGIA. This is a specialty specimen due to it's obscure locality, its form (habit) and its inclusions. This originally cost $25 in 1995. This is an old stock crystal with great cookeite ball inclusions. The inclusions are best observed with a loupe or magnifying glass. This has a tabular shape with a complexity on the right back side. The cookeite is stained red and there seem to be other minerals present as well.Approximate size of crystal specimen: 3/4" wide X 1/4" deep/thick X 1 1/8" tall or in metric: 2.0 X 0.6 X 2.8 CM. This is shown with enlarged images so please note:This is shown with large high-resolution images. The photos show the specimen as if you were examining it with a magnifying glass. Every good detail, and every bad detail, is shown in a blaze of glory or shame as the case may be.Having said that, since the photos are highly enlarged you may see features or blemishes that will not be detectable or will not be as prominent to the naked eye. Please note the size and be advised that the images appear larger than life on your screen. To be clear: this is shown with extreme magnification. To put it another way, (as if that wasn't clear enough?) these are large pictures of a small crystal. This specimen is priced commensurate with its rarity, locality and quality. I can't take less for it so please don't ask. I do have minerals for every budget so be sure to check out my other items.B.O.L.O ALERT - Be On the Look Out: I've recently acquired in excess of 1040 perky box specimens which have been carefully curated over a span of 42 years. The quality ranges from high to extremely high. Despite the sensory overload that oft accompanies high quality minerals, some will be quite affordable. I took some time off from listing but I'm back at it for a while and will probably be adding more specimens. So do check back and add me as a favorite and subscribe to my newsletter. Don't worry, you won't get weekly oreven monthly emails from me as I only sporadically send them out a few times a year.
