The pearls on this strand are pleasantly sized, with a center pearl measuring 14.8mm and then tapering towards the ends at 12.5mm/12.8mm. There are 31 pearls here with round or near-round shapes. They come wonderfully together in a strand approximately 17 inches in length. Harvested from the black-lipped Pinctada Margaritifera oysters that thrive in saltwater farms around the lagoons of French Polynesia, these gorgeous Tahitian pearls exhibit high luster. All-natural in color, these pearls have not been dyed, treated nor enhanced in any way. "AA" surface quality, with natural imperfections only which include minor blemishes and some deep imperfections. This is a loose strand (temporarily strung only, not knotted between the pearls and has no clasp), and is being sold here as it is. When fully knotted and secured with a clasp, the strand will extend to approximately 19 inches, which is a traditional princess necklace length that falls at or just below the collar bone.
