Usaburo's Grandson creates works that inherit the tradition and techniques of kokeshi while expressing a unique worldview. The motif of this kokeshi is based on Takashi Murakami's "Fujin" and "Raijin" paintings, which are modern updates of the traditional Wind God and Thunder God images painted by Rinpa school artists. These works are the highlights of the exhibition, personally described by Murakami as the standout pieces. The serial number is 233. It comes with a certificate of authenticity. The item was purchased from the museum shop at the Kyocera Museum of Art, and has been opened only for verification and photography.
