Description: Tarentum Heart w/ Thumbprint Rolled Edge, Candy Dish Gold Rim, Sawtooth Edge Antique U-shaped pressed glass dish made by Tarentum Glass Co. which operated from 1894-1918 in Tarentum, PA. The pattern on this dish is called Hartford, a.k.a Heart with Thumbprint. It was first introduced in 1899. Rectangular in shape with rolled up edges on the long sides. The edges are trimmed in gold color and have a modified sawtooth design. This piece is in excellent condition with no chip or cracks. The gold trim is thinning in places. 6” long, 4.5” wide, 2” tall.
