Description: A beautiful Teac X-10R for sale!Recently serviced to replace drive belt and seized pinch roller arms, this deck features six discrete heads for record and playback in forward and reverse directions. A timer feature automatically puts the deck into play mode when connected to an outlet timer, and a “cue” feature allows listening to the passing tape when in fast wind and rewind modes. Automatic reverse requires sensing foil to be added to the base side of the tape. Will accept 7” or 10 ½” reels, speed is 3 ¾” or 7 ½” per second. Lights for the VU meters are still good.Metal takeup reel, 3600’ reel of Maxell tape, and NAB adaptors are included. Has input/output jacks for optional dbX noise reduction unit, not included. A copy of the service manual will be provided, but not the user instruction manual.KNOWN ISSUES: Tape heads do show signs of wear, probably due for a lapping, but are reasonably good at present. Pinch rollers are good and should last a while, but consider re-tiring or replacement in the future. No electronics were serviced- bias levels, input/output levels, power supply capacitors are all as they were shipped from the factory.Please look at the photos!
