Description: 1952 Ferrari 375 Indy race car Driven by Johnny Mauro in 1:18 scale by Tecnomodel. Very nice white race car in original boxes limited edition of #92 of 110. There were 3 Ferrari race cars entered for the Indy 500 in 1952. Mauro and his family owned several car dealerships in Denver, CO. He was the only Ferrari Dealer in Denver for many years. This led to him driving for Ferrari in the 1940's and 50's. He entered Indy in 1950 in an Alfa Romeo and 1952 Ferrari but did not make the race either of those years for lack of speed. Alberto Ascari #12 was the only Ferrari to make the race starting 19th and he had a wheel hub failure on lap 40 and finished 31st. This was the only race that he did not win for Ferrari all year and was the World Driving Champion. The 3rd Ferrari #6 was slated for Johnnie Parsons but he switched to his Kurtis Kraft Offy #5 for lack of speed in the Ferrari, and finished 10th. Enzo Ferrari realized the importance of F1 points and car sales Indy could generate but this was their only effort in 1952. SHIPS FAST AND FREE IN US.
