Degrazia 1974 1/1 so it is the only print signed like thisA family member met him & knew him in the 70s. He signed this & gave it to the family member. I have put a piece of paper in front of the family name.Beautiful BurdenTraditionally Ted Degrazia was an artist in Tucson Arizona & his subjects were native american Indians & he gave us glimpses into their world, this one appears to be a lady carrying a basket called "beautiful burden"Traditionally Native American Indians had assorted hand crafted baskets. -- The baskets were originally used in everyday life for gathering wild foods and harvesting crops like corn. Large burden baskets were also used for food storage- Later Burden Baskets began to be made to symbolize carrying your burdens in this basket, thereby giving your burdens away. Burden Baskets were used for utilitarian means but also as a Guardian of the homes.
