Kit parts and box in nice condition. From box side panel: Launched in February 1988, the USS Abraham Lincoln is the fifth and latest carrier in the Nimitz class of nuclear powered warships. This massive ship displaces nearly 100,000 tons and was built at a cost of more than 2 billion dollars; her aircraft represent another 1.2 billion dollars worth of equipment. The Lincoln's two reactors provide steam for the turbines which drive her four propellors. Because the power units take up relatively little space, there is room for additional equipment and supplies. The Lincoln's hull is constructed in a unique way - it is divided into small units, or "cells" which are insulated from one another. If the ship is damaged and takes on water, these cells prevent flooding. Kit features includes 12 detailed aircraft for the deck (5 different kinds of planes), 2 tow tugs and a crane, and an option which will allow you to build either a full hull (with stands) or waterline model. An easy-to-follow instruction manual includes tips on detailing and other finishing techniques.
