There is no "Printed in the USA" on the cover. The words "The Beatles" is above the hole indicating it is an authentic copy. There are several interpretations of the appearance of this rare cover variation, including the one that it might be Vee-Jay's production error or that the "blank back" was used for promotional issues of the LP.
