The center Alnico V magnet coupled with Ceramic 8 flanking magnets deliver a crushing mid-range while maintaining a tight, focused and articulate response. The bridge pickup was designed to conjure the heaviest tones to shake the ground you stand on, while the neck pickup series wiring provides thick, saturated distortion.A new5-Way (Hum/Hum) switch provides an arsenal of expressions to select. Position 1is bridge humbucker (in parallel); position 2 is a classic single coil bridge/neck; position 3 is bridge/neck full humbucker; position 4 is neck in parallel humbucker; position 5 is neck series humbucker…providing a range of tones from bright and cutting to warm and saturated.The neck features a Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL nut that enhances resonance and brings out the natural harmonics in each note. The scale length of this guitar model first available on March 24, 2021, is 25.5"and it weighs 7.0 lbs. on the nose.The serial # is WI23010781 with “WI” signifying the guitar was manufactured at the P.T. Wildwood factory in Indonesia or the World Music Instrument factory in Korea. I’m going with Indonesia on this one…and not just because it says, “Crafted in Indonesia” on the back of the headstock! Actually, it is my understanding that while most Schecter guitars are made in Korea, all the OmenElite-6 guitars are made in Indonesia.The “23” indicates it was made in the year 2023 while the “01” indicates it was made in January and the 0781 indicates it was the 781st guitar made that month (and that year). So, it was the 781st guitar crafted in January 2023. This is a brand-new guitar, painstakingly obtained directly from the factory. It has the usual superficial rubs, scratches, nicks and/or dings (extremely minimal) that are to be expected from packing, unpacking, shipping, handling, etc.Electronics function properly through my testing. Sounds, plays, feels, and looks fantastic. It has factory installed strings. Schecter guitars typically come with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings (.010-.046) installed from the factory.The guitar hasn’t been played for more than about 20 minutes.
