The book isn't new and has been read but is in very good condition. There are minimal scrape marks on bottom of book from taking it on and off the shelf (See photo 12 &13). What might look like a tear on the binding by the title does not go all the way through the book binding (See photos 3, 14 &15). Dust jacket included. No missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears, and no underlining/highlighting of text or writing in the margins. Overall, there is minimal wear and tear given the age of the book. It was the first English translation of the novel in the 20th century. Garnett was responsible for introducing many Russian works of literature to English readers, including works by Tolstoy and Turgenev.
