Carl Giammarese and Nick Fortuna joined The Centuries who morphed into The Buckinghams in the mid-60’s—a name chosen to sound British, because The British Invasion bands were topping the charts. The band split and Giammarese and Fortuna reformed The Buckinghams without Marty Grebb (who was playing with Chicago) in 1980. They’ve taken part in several of The Happy Together Tour(s) with The Turtles and The Grass Roots. Which is when they released this album, and it’s single; Veronica. Nick Fortuna was also in Baby Huey & The Babysitters. Their backup singer from this era; Laurie Beebe Lewis joined a later version of The Mamas & The Papas.
