(U.S. Army Air Force/General) Awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for leading a 6 plane formation on a bombing run over the Ploesti oil fields in Romania at a staggeringly low altitude of 100 feet! His plane was the only one to return to base. John J. Tominac. (U.S. Army/First Lieutenant) Awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his one-man stand against overwhelming enemy forces at Saulx de Vesoul, France on 12, September 1944.
