Author Biography He is the Sufi sharif, teacher, guide to Allah and shaykh of the Darqawi tariqa, Sayyidi Muhammad ibn al-Habib ibn as-Siddiq al-Amghari al-Idrisi al-Hasani. He was born in Fes in 1295 AH/1878 CE and had an utterly traditional education in all the sciences of Islam, Iman and Ihsan, including Quran recitation and commentary, fiqh of the madhhab of the school of Madina of Imam Malik, Ashari aqida, and the sciences of hadith. Later he was admitted to and became a shaykh of the Shadhili-Darqawi tariqa. He travelled widely until his death, teaching the essentials of the deen, particularly in Morocco and Algeria. He died on the way to perform hajj to the Sacred House of Allah, in the city of Blida, Algeria, on Monday, 23rd Dhul-Qada, 1391 AH/28th December 1971, and was later re-buried in his zawiya in Meknes. Shaykh Muhammad Murtada al-Boumas-houli is shaykh of the Shadhili-Darqawi tariqa. He is based on Kelaat MGouna.
