The Essential Jimi Hendrix Volume I and II (w Gloria) on vinyl first pressings

Description: The Essential Jimi Hendrix Volumes I and II (with 7” EP) The Essential Jimi Hendrix was originally released as a 2-LP album by Reprise Records in 1978, with The Essential Jimi Hendrix Volume Two following the next year as a single LP (it also contained a bonus 33 RPM 7” EP of “Gloria,” the Van Morrison classic). Both of these are first pressings (both are stamped with gold “PROMOTIONAL COPY NOT FOR SALE” in the upper right hand corner. Volume I is a 2-LP gatefold with definite wear on the jacket (pictured). Volume II is a single LP with a taped paper sleeve to the back cover of a 33 1/3 7” EP of Jimi’s version of the Van Morrison (Them) classic, “Gloria” (also pictured). The EP has not been removed from the back cover and thus never played. Volume II’s jacket is in better shape. Both albums’ vinyl is near mint (and may well never have been played).
