Description: The Fountains of Paradise by Arthur C. Clarke. Harcourt Brace Jovanovich 1979. This is a First Edition, First US Edition copy, as stated by "First edition" and printing line "B C D E" on the copyright page (see Internet Speculative Fiction Database page: https://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/pl.cgi?194085). This book was published simultaneously by Victor Gollancz in the UK. The Fountains of Paradise was the winner of the 1980 Hugo & 1979 Nebula awards for best novel. Condition is Fine - Like New. Book spine is tight and square. Board tips are excellent. There is a line running vertically at about the mid point of the front board that looks something like a fingernail was run along the board. Dust jacket has some area of scuffing that has reduced the gloss on the front cover some. There are three small (about 1-2mm long) spots along the edges where the colour has been compromised. Dust jacket is protected in a Mylar cover. I'm in the process of selling my personal collection of a few hundred titles.
