Description: The History of England From the Earliest Period to the Present Time Compiled from the Most Authentic SourcesBy David Hume & William Cooke StaffordVolume III This antique edition was published by The London Printing & Publishing Company. I can't find a publishing date, but their is a name, address and date of January 2, 1872 written in the front. The book contains some black and white illustrations. The leather-bound hard cover is in fair condition for its age. There is grime on the surfaces and wear at all of the edges and corners. The spine is legible, but worn at the edges. The front cover and spine have become detached from binding. The rest of the binding is intact, with some cracked hinges. The inside front and back cover marbled endpapers are clean. There is an inscription dated 1872 with an address in Paterson, New Jersey on one of the first pages. The pages are tanned. There are no markings that I can see. The book measures 7 3/4 x 11". We are volunteers selling books donated to the Friends of the Campbell Public Library to provide funds to support library services. 100% of the proceeds from the sales go directly to the library.
