Unpaginated [24pp] A rare find in this edition with the jacket. Whimsical and fun color illustrations on every other page. Bright red boards with a cat and butterfly outlined in yellow on the front, spine lettered in yellow, and leaf wth LLS inside on the back. There is one "pull" in the back board - a white line that appears as if the thread was pulled out. Previous owners name in ink on front free endpaper, some words covered with white out. Minor rubbing at corners. Binding is tight, pages clean. Dust jacket has lots of tiny closed tears along the top and bottom, some folding, chipping, soiling and discoloration on folds and two tape repairs. It is price clipped. There is a sticker affixed on the spine that says "Library Edition" BUT this is NOT a library copy - there are no indications that it was ever in a library (ie. no pocket or stamping). Covered in a mylar protector. Classic children's poem illustrated by Joe Rogers, a veteran of the Marine Corps and a prolific illustrator (mostly of textbooks).
