Description: The Incredible String Band--"The 5000 Spirits or the Layers of the Onion". The second album put out by the ISB was released in July of 1967, by Elektra. This copy has the Butterfly label. The record has been cleaned using a Spin Clean record cleaner. The record has been play tested here at Iconikrock, using our Audio Technica ATLP120XUSB turntable and it played VG+ on both sides. The record is in a new black paper inner sleeve for protection. The beautiful collectible cover was created by Dutch artists Simon Postuma and Marijke Koger. The figure on the cover, better known as the "Fool", features a multi colored hermaphrodite juxtaposing both light and darkness. The cover art is atypical of the psychedelic period of the sixties. The cover has been cleaned and is in VG+ condition with no writing and no excessive edge or ring wear. Please view the pictures for more detail.
