Description: This is the original (1sh) 1940 Lobby Card THE MAN WITH NINE LIVES, which was used to promote the film in theatres when it was released by Columbia in 1940. It is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The movie stars Boris Karloff, Roger Pryor, Jo Ann Sayers, Stanley Brown, and John Dilson. It was directed by Nick Grinde.The Lobby Card is Flat, neither Folded nor Rolled. It measures 11" x 14". This unrestored Lobby Card is graded C7.5 Very Fine Minus. Original Lobby Cards, like original movie posters, are graded, from the top down, as C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine to Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Fine/Very Good), etc. It is difficult to find any C10 (Mint) original Lobby Cards pre 1985. The Lobby Card has maintained an acceptable appearance despite a number of flaws as previously described. The majority of the flaws occur along the borders with only a few (some foxing, one large pin hole bottom right, and marks in KARLOFF'S name) in the main image area. Restoration of the Lobby Card could alleviate all of these flaws and we believe that the cost of the restoration should be captured in the increased value of a restored THE MAN WITH NINE LIVES Lobby Card.
