Description: Dr. David R. Holmes, Jr - Dr. Holmes is currently a Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and a consultant in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Holmes has also been named the Edward W. and Betty Knight Scripps Professor in Cardiovascular Medicine in Honor of Dr. George M. Gura, Jr. He was the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory from 1984-2003. He was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in November 2011. He has received the Distinguished Scientist Award (Clinical Domain) from the American College of Cardiology and the Research Career Achievement Award from the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He is a Past President of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) as well as the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCAI). He has received the Herrick Award from the American Heart Association. Dr. Holmes continues to lecture both nationally and internationally. Dr. Robert L. Frye - Dr. Frye is currently a Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and a consultant in the Division of Comprehensive Cardiology in the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He was the Co-Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory from 1965-1974. He has been awarded the Distinguished Fellowship Award from the American College of Cardiology; Distinguished Clinician from the Mayo Clinic; Distinguished Achievement Award from the American Heart Association. He is a recipient of the Herrick Award of the American Heart Association. He is a Past President of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). He has served as Chairman of Medicine and Cardiology for the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Frye is well published including journals, books, and book chapters.
