He gained international fame with his novel interpretation of the history of physics within its cultural matrix and its interaction with biology, philosophy, ethics, and theology. The same original approach characterizes his highly acclaimed monographs in the history of cosmology. Dr. Saki received the Lecomte du Nouy Prize for 1970. He has been selected to deliver the Gifford Lectures at the University of Edinburgh in 1974-75 and 1975-76.
