Description: I have for sale "The Pilgrimage of Temperance Mack" a hardcover nonfiction book published in 1967. This 72 page volume is based on the letters written by Temperance Mack and her daughter, Almira Covey. Temperance Mack is the aunt of Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism. Her pilgrimage takes place largely in Pontiac, Michigan, then to western Missouri, then to Nauvoo, Illinois then to Salt Lake City, Utah. The book is dedicated to Dr. Norman E Clarke, collector of rare books and manuscripts, who gave his library to Central Michigan University. It is printed in a limited edition in 1967 by John Cumming of Mount Pleasant, MI.I am not a grader of books so please view the photos for the best description of this book. There are no markings of any sort in this book, no smudges or stains, underlining or highlighting. It is almost as new. There is a bit of corner bumping and view the last photo for a blemish along an edge. I have owned this book for about 20 years and it has been stored in a smoke free pet free home and has no odors.I will plan to post USPS ground advantage or media mail, your choice, based on zip code. If you have questions, please ask. Thanks for looking and for bidding.
