Dr. Brooks chaired the Commission on the Bicentennial of the Floridian Revolution for the McIntosh Society, served as a national chair for Rick Santorum's presidential campaign, and has received over 100 awards and honors from Catholic schools and universities in Florida. Notably, Dr. Brooks received the Distinguished Alumnus Award, the Saint Leo University Alumni Association's highest honor, at age 29.
