Given that he's referred to as a "composer", it should come as no surprise that Sammet's latest is a fusion of classical bombast and wailing power metal. While songs such as "Another Angel Down" are recognizable as straight up headbanging fodder, the title track personifies Sammet's ambitions with eleven minutes of rustic folk violin and crashing symphonic grandeur.
