Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single by The Shields titled "You Cheated b/w That's The Way Its Gonna Be", originally released in 1958 by Dot Records. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for seven inch 45 RPM vinyl records, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. In the dead wax, between the labels and the last tracks, is etched "Delta 22706/Delta 22707" and the matrix numbers A-2/B-2, indicating that early stampers were used to make this single at Monarch Record's pressing plant, located in Los Angeles, California. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good Plus because of superficial sleeve marks and hairlines, but still with surfaces that are shiny and bright without any scrapes, scuffs or smudges. I'm play grading this single between Very Good (Side Two) and Very Good Plus (Side One) because of occasional low levels of surface noise and ticking (Side Two only). It plays all the way through without any skips, pops or lock-ups from start to finish. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection.
