Description: "THE SPORTS CAR DEVELOPMENT & DESIGN" John Stanford, published by B T Batsford, London, in 1957 - first edition. Very well illustrated with black & white photographs and line drawings by John Dunscombe - 101 illustrations in all. Hardback book with a very tatty dust jacket. A very enjoyable read written by the editor of the Vintage Sports Car Club Magazine and sports car enthusiast John Stanford. He traces the development of the sports car from the early 1900s to 1956. It is well-written and tells a coherent story, including knowledgeable technical detail when relevant. It's an all-round great book with the exception of the very tatty dust jacket! CONDITION: This secondhand book is in very good condition, there are no names, dates, inscriptions, etc. The dust jacket is in very poor condition and there is light foxing to the outer edges. Please refer to the pictures.
