The Sweetest Large 9" All Bisque Simon Halbig 886 Doll w Different Face & Orange

Description: I was so surprised when I received this doll and saw that she was a Simon Halbig 886 doll. She does not have the typical SH 886 face! Her face is similar to the "wrestler" face of the Kestner dolls, with two upper teeth and one big lower tooth. But, she has a very sweet, inquisitive look to her! And it is also unusual to find these dolls with orange stockings. She had her original stringing, however it was so loose that I had to restring her before listing. Her bisque head is without damage, including hairlines or restorations. Huge original almond shaped brown set eyes. Tiny finely painted eyelashes surround her eye cuts. Multi-stroke brown eyebrows. And that lovely open mouth with the two upper teeth and one big lower tooth. Teeth are square cut. She is an early version, incised on the back of her head with "886" and underneath that "S 3 H". I think it is a 3 but not completely sure. There is some lighter areas on her face and you can see this in the magnified facial picture. It is mainly on her forehand and a little across her nose to slightly under her eyes. This was in the making and when displayed as she is, is not distracting. Her mohair wig is likely original. Her body is very. nice and she has beautiful hands. Slight chipping on the top of one leg as you can see in picture. The inside of one leg lost the leather covering and there is a mold flaw there that you can see as well in the pictures. She has ribbed orange stockings with black two strap heeled shoes. Love these chunky all bisque bodies!She is dressed in an adorable antique wool dress/coat and matching hat. It goes so well with those orange stockings and is adorable on her. Just a pair of antique undies underneath. If she was perfect (without facial lightening), she would be priced much higher than I have her as she is rare to find like this in this large size, with this face and orange stockings. Truly adorable!
