Description: The Vagabond KingRudolf Friml Vintage Promotional Herald / Flyer Up for auction is a vintage souvenir promotional advertising herald or flyer, measuring approximately 4 by 8 inches in size (when closed) and 8 by 8 inches in size (when fully opened). Heralds are advertising flyers that are typically placed at theaters, and sometimes included in Playbills and Programs. This die cut, single sheet, single fold, three section herald is for Rudolf Friml's operetta "The Vagabond King", playing at the Great Northern Theatre, in Chicago, Illinois, in 1926.The souvenir herald is in fair to good, vintage condition, with no writing, and minimal soiling and wear. However, the very top 0.5 inches of the herald (the top of the king's head) has torn off, and has been taped back in place with a small piece of scotch tape. At this time and over the next few months, I will be selling a number of vintage heralds, playbills, souvenir programs, as well as other movie and theatre memorabilia, and will combine shipping if at all possible.
