Description: Description: Up for sale is a beautiful Theodore Haviland Bread & Butter Plate. The bread and butter plate is part of a much larger set currently up for sale, so be sure and check out my many other lots! The plate measures 6.5” in diameter and has a white/cream base with a pink flower (blossom) design, in addition to a gold rim/trim. The bread and butter plate is marked “Theodore Haviland New York, Made In America, Apple Blossom.” Condition: Overall, the bread and butter plate is in good condition for its age but does show some signs of wear and some light utensil scratching. Please note that the bread and butter plates are not “like new” and show utensil scratching that can be seen in some lighting situations. Additionally, many plates display some wear on gold trim/rim or a minor imperfection to the glaze. I have attempted to highlight these imperfections to the best of my ability in the photos. Otherwise, the plates were acquired as part of a much larger set with little history known; however, no major condition issues (such as chips or cracks) were noticed upon a thorough inspection. Considering the age of the plates, I do not feel that the imperfections mentioned above greatly compromise the condition of the pieces.
