From the second letter: "I am ...greatly surprised at the difficulties you mention that have occured with my Florida. If the law of copyright is the same in England as in this country Mr. Churton has certainly no one to censure but himself that his title to the copyright is destroyed. ..." the first letter has an integral address panel, the second was folded into a second sheet which bears the address panel. Postally sent. Wax seal remains on second letter. The first letter has the ink stamp "Liverpool Ship Letter" on the outside. Defects: Letters have tape and tape stains to the folds and edges. A few, words are nearly obscured. Second letter has tears and tape, repairs along the entire right hand edge. Folded for mailing.
