Volume IV: May 10, 1905 - April 12, 1906. 3. Volume VII: November 15, 1907-November 26, 1908. Condition: Condition: Overall the collection is in Good+ condition. The volumes are tightly bound with no loose pages. The text pages are in overall excellent condition and mostly appear unread. Tissue guards and all plates are present. Very light scuffing and shelf wear to boards. Minor dents to cover corners. Vol. 4 has a 5" horizontal tear to the frontispiece illustration. Remarks: Theodore Roosevelt needs no description. His critics during the election of 1912 thought the former Rough Rider might even be beyond description. This set was published in 1910 and stated that neither the publisher nor Roosevelt had any "pecuniary interest" in the publication. This set was intended to boost the public image of TR even further and help in his 1908-1911 struggles within the New York Republican Party.
