Description: Portrait of: THOMAS HOVEY GAGE, M. D. , of Worcester, was born in Waterford , Me, May 22 , 1826 . He practised medicine there until he went to Worcester, in 1856, where he has remained in active practice ever since . Dr. Gage has been a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society since his graduation , and in 1880 delivered the annual discourse before that body. In 1882 he was vice-president of the society, and from 1886 to 1888 he served as president . He has held all the offices connected with the Worcester District Medical Society. He is a permanent member of the American Medical Society, and has occasionally contributed articles to medical journals.
