Description: Vintage hardcover edition of The Adventures of Buster Bear, by Thornton W. Burgess (Grosset & Dunlap, 1941). Thornton Burgess's animal stories for children were so popular in the early 20th century that he became known as the "Bedtime-Story Man." Buster Bear was first introduced by Burgess in 1916 and went on to become one of the author's most beloved characters. This volume, like most of Burgess's books, is beautifully illustrated by Harrison Cady. A nice copy of a children's classic! This book is in very good condition overall. It lacks a dust jacket, but it has a tight spine and no rips, tears, marks, or other major signs of wear.
