Description: Three Crown China, Germany 6" Coupe Plate, Hand-Painted Old RosesGold Trim (c 1910s) A very pretty coupe porcelain plate with hand painted old roses in dark pink and white, with delicate buds and leaves, with a gold band around the rim. The maker is Three Crown China (Germany), and likely dates to about 1910. This antique plate measures 6-1/8 inches wide across the rim. It is in good condition. The roses have rich colors and detail, and are very intact. The gold trim, though is fairly worn, as shown in the closeup photos. There are also some stress cracks on the foot (back side), which do not penetrate to the front. There are no other chips or cracks or crazing that I can see. The faint mark is VERY hard to see. I found caught the right angle in the light to be able to see it was the mark for "Three Crown China, Germany." It was almost impossible for me to photograph; you can just make out part of the Three Crown wording in the dark closeup. (The Three Crown China mark was introduced by Unger & Schilde of Roschuetz, Thuringia, Germany. It was specific to items imported and distributed by Jon H. Roth from South Bend, Indiana between 1909 and 1916; see theoldstuff.com for more.)
